The beginning

Tamborcito Eco Farm are located between the Cureña River and the Sarapiqui River, in the district of Cureña, Sarapiqui Canton and Heredia Province. The river called Tamborcito meanders between farms and referring to himself born the project name.

In the 80’s Mr. Walter González decides buy these lands formed in part by forests and pastures dedicated for livestock development. Mr. Gonzalez starts a work of transformation in the livestock farms by replacing forestry (reforestation) and thus use wood for pallet industry factory; by then the farms would receive the names of family members, his wife Rocio and her two daughters Yoselín and Viviana.

But it was the exuberance and the majesty of the forests so that wowed Don Walter. It was at that moment that made the decision to devote his time and effort to the conservation and protection of biodiversity invaluable unique species.

Today the family fight for a good cause, and invite more people in the world to join us.
